To build a better stronger union, upon the foundation that humanity over the centuries has left for us to inherit.  We have no intention of belittling their efforts in the past, only to improve upon them, and leave an even better life, for those who will be following us.  We will attack no individual or group with the use of derogatory words but will discuss the philosophical reasoning they may have had. 

Over the recorded history of mankind, the average people have gone through many cycles of freedom and slavery .  I ask.  Is not mankind intelligent enough at this point in our growth, to skip the fall into slavery and peacefully build upon the freedom we now have?  I believe for the first time in history we can.  The real question is?   Will we as a group, recognize that once again the leaders that are in office, are (and for supposedly good causes) taking those freedoms away.  The need for all of this control lies in the fact, that we have allowed our legal system to complicate our lives to the point that no one is truly responsible and made accountable for what they do.  We also ignore the rights of the good citizens, so that we do not rob, the bad citizens of their rights. 

What determines who is a slave verses who is  free?   I believe it is, to what degree that  individual has control over his or her life.  While many of you say you have control over your life, I question how much serious thought you have given to that question.  Nor how those same controls limit or restrict your free growth as a responsible, individual, member of society.  Just a few simple examples:

1-         TAXATION:  I have said before that if you are going to live in a country, you should be willing to support that country and in direct relation to how well you have done.  See article 2203.  However, do they need to be so complicated, so hard to understand that almost everyone is breaking one or more rules?  Do they need to be used to punish some and reward others in relation to who they are or know? Should they be used to reward the lazy with the a portion of the producer’s earnings?  Used to tax non labor income at a lower rate than income from labor?   I say, no.

 2-         LICENSE:   Marriage, fire arm, business, driver’s etc.   Are any of them really necessary if everyone acts in a responsible manner?   Ok you say “yes, but everyone doesn’t”.  That is true.  I ask, why make all those who are responsible get a license when they have done nothing wrong?  In a manner of speaking you are punishing those who are responsible and allowing the blame to be put on the system, should a person who is licensed act irresponsibly.  How many times have you heard "the law or license" needs to be tightened? 

 3-        REGULATIONS:   Most of these are made by appointed officials who answer to only their boss.  Sure we need some protection from those with no scruples.    However would it not be better to encourage individual self control and punish those who do not exercise self control?  This will reduce the Bureaucracy within our government at all levels.   

I am sure that most of you can think of many more restrictions.  The point to keep in mind is every time you are required to go ask permission to do anything; your freedom has been restricted.  No I do not think all regulations, license etc can be removed.  However they can be reduced and simplified to the point that life becomes more enjoyable.
