040330 FIGHTING BONFIRES WHILE THE FOREST BURNS There are hundreds if not thousands of groups that are working hard, expending finances and time; to fight one phase of our government. Such as abortion, taxes, controlling dope, immigration, gun control and on infinitum. While this is laudable and makes them feel good; it is some what similar to attacking a Forest Fire by putting out all the little bonfires that surround it. To really get control of the situation one must attach at the heart of the fire. Sure keep watch on the Bonfires while putting out the Forest Fire, so the likely hood of bonfires will be reduced. In other words, what this country needs is a complete change of those serving in Washington, each State Capital and yes in most local offices. You see, we have allowed them to change our Republic into a Democracy; which as the Founding Fathers had predicted turned into an aristocratic mentality. In fact I would go so far as to say; that since the early 40s it is becoming a Socialistic Democracy. The career politician must serve his master and his master's system in order to stay in office. Not that I think this was a long term, determined effort to undermine the Republic. It just happened because those who had the power took the easiest way out on most situations that came up. They also hungered after the ego, which was provided by that power of being in office. We the citizens must carry much of the blame as we continued to vote for the lesser of two evils; which they assumed was our approval of all their actions. OK, most of you say that you had no other option, and at first blush that may seem right. However there was an option even if we did not think of it. We could have registered to vote; then took our ballots and voted for "no one". If "no one" had more votes than either of the winners; they could not have miss-interpreted your not voting as a vote of approval. Several of the Founding Fathers felt that we should not elect people who intend to make their living at running the country; but should serve as a duty for a short period of time and then come back out into society to make a living. Why not? that is what we ask our soldiers to do. Should Votealution progress far enough to make this happen. Those who are involved will need to stress to those who wish to serve (and serve is the key word) that they will come back out into society to earn their living. Again I must stress that all must be statesmen and not politicians. They will make their decisions based on what is best for mankind world wide and not what is best for them and their supporters. |

CLOSING THOUGHT: To Quote Thomas Jefferson "And what country can preserve its liberties if it's rulers are not warned from time to time that the people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms! The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." .... We believe that The Tree of Liberty can now be refreshed with the sweat of creating and executing our voting rights as long as it is done in unison at one election. WE CAN DO IT, IF YOU WILL MAKE THE EFFORT. Send a stamped self addressed envelope to me and I will send you 10 free business size cards to help spread the word on Votealution. Votealution, P.O.
